Cornwall's Navy Sailors Set to Join Strike Operation
The Royal Navy has stated that it will be sending 260 personnel from an airbase located in Cornwall to East Asia for a strike mission. Pilots from RNAS Culdrose will link up with the aircraft carrier HMS Prince of Wales in late spring, and they aren’t anticipated to come back until the end of the year. The navy stated that the objective was to collaborate with international partners and enhance the UK's ties with these countries. Cmdr Al Woodward from 820 Naval Air Squadron stated that he had been waiting his whole career for this moment.
