Vape users risk 'buying toxic products on black market after ban'

Millions of vapers are willing to take a chance on buying possible toxic products to dodge an upcoming ban on their habit, a survey suggests. The Government has banned the sale of disposable vapes from June 1. But the survey of users over the age of 18 found one-third admit they are likely to turn to the black market to beat the crackdown. Illegal products can often contain nicotine levels higher than the UK legal limit and may harbour cancer-causing chemicals . A study by the University of Derby also found illegal vapes with ‘alarming’ levels of copper, nickel and lead that could cause ‘dangerous long-term health impacts’.
