What You Need to Know About Installing Home Wind Turbines
Homeowners considering solar As an alternative to grid power or as a self-sufficient energy option, one might consider augmenting their photovoltaic (PV) systems with wind turbines. Technically, wind power falls under the category of solar energy since sunlight powers the winds. However, wind turbines generate electricity through mechanisms distinct from those used by PV panels. Importantly, these turbines can operate even when the sun has set. This does not imply that they function in all scenarios. My fellow residents and I have a strong desire to set up wind turbines at our self-sufficient homestead, yet despite sitting atop a hill with an ocean view, we lack sufficient wind for their effective operation.
