SFO Sandwich Crowned One of the World's Best Airport Meals

The San Francisco International Airport possibly boasts one of the finest food in the nation — with the newest accolade bestowed upon a beloved community gem. Bun Mee, which has two locations in SFO , made Bloomberg's ranking of the top airport eateries globally.

Bloomberg showcased the Vietnamese eatery located in both Harvey Milk Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 for its traditional banh mi sandwich filled with savory grilled pork, rich mortadella, and country pâté within a warm baguette. Additionally, they praised its innovative take on a French dip sandwich featuring ribeye steak paired with pho broth for dunking.

"The location of our bakery isn't disclosed, but it's locally owned and operated by Vietnamese individuals," stated Denise Tran, the founder and CEO, to Bloomberg.

Bun Mee initially launched at the airport in 2017, starting operations inside Terminal 3 before expanding to another spot in Terminal 1 after two years, as per an email from SFO spokesperson Doug Yakel to GudangMovies21. This well-liked mini-chain of eateries in San Francisco also maintains outlets in Pacific Heights, the Financial District, and the Marina area.

At San Francisco International Airport, the succulent grilled pork has garnered admirers nationwide. "This ranks among the finest airport cuisine I’ve tasted! The ingredients are top-notch, the bread is excellent, and the sauces are delightful.
