Hiding in the early morning shade Kaimanahila , referred to as Diamond Hill or more frequently as Diamond Head, is a petite coastal area now widely recognized as Kaimana The term "beach" refers to the location where the hotel currently stands.
However, much like how the hotel evolved over time, the beach’s name also underwent changes.
The initial hotel in the region went by the name of Park Beach Hotel.
In 1893, a newly established hotel made its debut under the name of San Souci , which is French for “without care.”
The beach subsequently acquired the name San Souci .
The acclaimed poet Robert Louis Stevenson partly depicted it as, "beautiful landscapes, tranquility, pristine atmosphere, clear sea water, and celestial sunsets."
Kaimana and San Souci These are simply contemporary monikers that mirror the more recent history of this region.
However, old names like Kapua or Hononunu reflect older stories.

As part of his conquest, history tells us that King Kamehameha I reached Oʻahu in 1795 through the beaches on its shore. Hononunu .
