It all began when Hector’s girlfriend, Sara McDaniel In "Simply Southern Cottage," someone expressed regret over not having any pictures of their late grandmother’s house. They wished they had captured it exactly as it was—without any professional touch-ups or striving for flawlessness—a simple memento of a transient period. This reflection inspired Hector’s newest creative project: providing professional interior photography services to individuals who want to preserve the special charm of the places that hold deep significance in their lives.

Labeled "Portraits of Places," this collection seeks to record the authentic and lived-in essence of our dwellings, along with the details we'll cherish for years—essentially acting as a visual chronicle. One recent customer, Henders Haggerty, embodies this sentimentality. Following his grandmother Dot’s relocation due to health issues necessitating assisted living away from her house in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Hector aided him in documenting the space exactly as she had last left it.

"Whether it's the documents on her desk, the family portraits above her bed, or the crocheted doilies scattered around, these mementos hold immeasurable value and serve as eternal reminders for reflection for Dot’s family," notes Sara, who recently did shared the photos Henders mentions that it was crucial to memorialize his grandmother Dot’s house for his two young kids. "This way, they can now imagine the affection and coziness I felt during my visits to my grandma's place."
