2025 ACM Awards: Unmissable Snubs and Shocking Surprises Revealed
A majority of the nominations for the 60th Academy of Country Music Awards were largely predictable. The five artists nominated for Male Artist of the Year are as follows: Luke Combs , Cody Johnson, Jelly Roll Chris Stapleton and Morgan Wallen — their nominations this year mirror those from last year in that category. The list for entertainer of the year includes six out of the same seven nominees as last year. Similarly, for both female artist of the year and duo of the year categories, four out of the five nominees were also nominated previously.
The nominations for group of the year experienced greater turnover with Flatland Cavalry, Little Big Town being included. Old Dominion Recurring from last year’s list, but Rascal Flatts and The Outlaws Red Clay Strays occupied the spots held by Lady A and Zac Brown Band previously. This marked the inaugural recognition for The Red Clay Strays and the first acknowledgment since 2017 for Rascal Flatts.
Shaboozey "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" from 's Post Malone Featuring Morgan Wallen's "I Had Some Help," both of which spent extended periods atop the Hot Country Songs chart and the all-genre Billboard Hot 100, are nominated for Single of the Year, as anticipated.
This does not imply that there weren’t any unexpected outcomes from the ACM nominations. As usual with award ceremonies, “snubs and surprises” are expected. For each artist considered a “snub” this year, remember that such an obstacle could position you perfectly for a potential ‘Comeback of the Year’ accolade down the line.
These are the omissions and unexpected selections in the 60th ACM Awards nominations.
The ACM Awards are organized by Dick Clark Productions, a company now under the ownership of Penske Media Corporation following a deal involving Eldridge Industries and GudangMovies21 parent firm Penske Media Corporation.
