Potato lovers, rejoice!
On Monday, March 17, KFC announced its Dunk It Bucket featuring the all-new Mashed Potato Poppers — a crispy and dip-encouraged twist on mashed potatoes now marking its first time in the U.S. after finding popularity in Australia and beyond under an apparent different name.

Catherine Tan-Gillespie, who serves as the president of KFC U.S., described the Dunk It – which marks the company’s first entirely new bucket in almost ten years – as “a dream realized for enthusiasts of sauces.”
Per a new release from the company, the Dunk It Bucket will be available for $7, with a Double Dunk It Bucket for $25. To celebrate the occasion, KFC is also offering limited-edition "KFC Dunk It" merch including a mini basketball hoop, stickers and apparel.
The new meal deal will be available for a limited time.

News about the Mashed Potato Poppers was announced soon after Yum! Brands, the parent corporation of KFC, revealed in February that they were relocating their corporate office to Plano, Texas, placing them alongside another subsidiary, Pizza Hut Global. This shift away from KFC’s origin state of Kentucky forms part of Yum! Brands' strategy to consolidate their U.S. base at one location. According to Yum! Brands CEO David Gibbs, these adjustments aim “to position us for long-term expansion and enhance our ability to cater effectively to our customers, staff members, franchise owners, and investors.”
In connection with this relocation, the company stated that approximately 100 corporate employees from Louisville and an additional 90 remote-based staff members were anticipated to make the move over the subsequent 18 months following the announcement. While KFC’s main headquarters will stay in Louisville, the brand plans to construct a "one-of-a-kind flagship eatery."
As was previously stated, KFC presently oversees approximately 30,000 restaurants spanning 145 countries.
