Timber Pizza Co. Sets Up Shop in Edgewater, Opening Its Second Maryland Spot
EDgewater, MD – A new wood-fired pizzeria is set to open shortly in Edgewater, signifying the brand’s second establishment in Maryland.
The Timber Pizza Company will cover an area of 2,100 square feet within the Market South River Colony shopping complex, where Weis Markets serves as the main anchor tenant. However, the precise launch date has not been disclosed yet.
The expansion occurred fewer than 12 months since Timberdoc opened its first location in Maryland in Annapolis.
Chris Brady, who hails from Annapolis, co-founded Timber Pizza along with his partner, Andrew Dana, in 2014.
The enterprise began as a food truck equipped with a portable pizza oven mounted on a 1967 Chevrolet pickup.
Brady and Dana subsequently joined forces with Chef Dani Moreira, who graduated from the Culinary Institute of America, and they launched their initial physical store in Petworth, Washington, D.C., in 2016.
Timber later added locations The company operates in Raleigh, North Carolina, and various locations in Virginia including McLean, Arlington, and at the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. Additionally, they maintain food trucks serving the Washington, D.C., and Richmond metropolitan regions.
