Maserati Unveils Customized Officine Fuoriserie Program

  • Maserati has introduced a new customization initiative named Officine Fuoriserie Maserati, which is available for its entire range of vehicles.
  • The program divides into two parts: configurable “catalog” models and entirely custom made bespoke vehicles crafted as singular units.
  • Maserati initiated the program by unveiling an exclusive item. MC20 Cielo Titled 'Less is More...?' featuring a design that blends matte and glossy paint finishes.

As stated by Maserati CEO Santo Ficili, “Customization defines both the past and the future of luxurious vehicles.” In line with this vision, the company recently introduced a fresh personalization initiative named Officine Fuoriserie Maserati. This program aims to offer clients greater flexibility when designing their own automobiles.

The program is divided into two sections. In the initial section, you can choose from two adaptable lines: Fuoriserie Corsa and Fuoriserie Futura. The latter part focuses entirely on personalization and provides exclusive, singular vehicles where clients collaborate with Maserati’s creative team during every stage of construction to tailor their car uniquely.

Maserati states that the Fuoriserie Corsa editions draw their inspiration from the company’s rich racing background. These vehicles employ color as a key element with designs reminiscent of iconic racers from Maserati’s past. According to the brand, these particular Corse versions do not feature any decals; rather, every livery is crafted solely through painting techniques. Maserati emphasizes that the Fuoriserie line prioritizes materials and explores various chromatic possibilities. The new lineup takes cues from elements found within interior designing, industrial manufacturing, and athletic wear sectors.

Regarding custom models, Maserati states that in contrast to their counterparts in Maranello, they have no intention of dismissing a client’s innovative ideas to uphold the Maserati brand identity. Rather, the company will collaborate closely with clients throughout each phase of designing a truly exclusive vehicle. Part of this procedure involves sending an intricately crafted wooden box containing tangible samples showcasing various colors and materials so potential owners can better envision their personalized creation.

For clients who can afford it, the brand offers custom-made paint options exclusive to their cars. However, they refrain from collaborating with customers for bespoke body designs during this customization process. According to Klaus Busse, Maserati’s chief designer, personalized bodywork might be considered as an option down the line.

To demonstrate the capabilities of their new program, Maserati showcased the MC20 Cielo Less is More...?, an exclusive single-unit vehicle. This model features a bespoke paint scheme combining a matte Blu Corse base with a high-gloss overlay adorned with geometric forms drawn from the Bauhaus artistic tradition. These elements are executed using hues of white, blue, yellow, and red.
