Mount Nittany Health Provides Latest Update on New Patient Tower Project
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (WTAJ) — Progressively yet steadily, Mount Nittany Health’s forthcoming patient tower inches nearer to its launch date, as part of the building process has been finished.
The $350 million patient tower is planned to encompass 10 stories with 170 beds. Currently, they believe that they have completed approximately two-thirds of the project.
"This represents an investment in our community," stated Chief Facilities Management Officer Bob Donahue.
Over the coming few months, they anticipate completing the closure of the building’s walls and roof. Once this phase is done, the focus will shift to installing drywall and finishing the interiors. According to Donahue, the construction process has proceeded smoothly without significant hold-ups or issues so far.
"The excitement for us at present is largely due to the resources we're offering to the State College community," Donahue stated.
