Nathan Fillion Takes on the Role of Guy Gardner in HBO’s ‘Lanterns'
The Green Lantern Corps has discovered their Guy Gardner.
Lanterns The forthcoming DC Studios production for HBO has announced that Nathan Fillion will portray Guy Gardner, who is among the characters famous for taking on the role of Green Lantern within the lore of DC Comics. Fillion is scheduled to assume the role of Gardner in this season’s show. Superman , and will reprise the role in the HBO series.
Lanterns was selected last year by Chris Mundy ( Ozark ), Damon Lindelof ( Watchmen , Lost ) along with comics writer Tom King. This group is collaborating on both writing and executive-producing the series, with Mundy taking on the role of showrunner.
Kyle Chandler is set to play a different Green Lantern named Hal Jordan, in the series, welcomed a fresh addition In the series, Aaron Pierre portrays John Stewart, a new recruit. According to the logline, the show revolves around "rookie cop John Stewart (played by Pierre) and seasoned officer Hal Jordan (by Chandler), who are both galactic police officers pulled into an enigmatic case rooted on Earth when they look into a homicide in America’s Midwest region."
Jason Ritter, Kelly MacDonald, Poorna Jagannathan, and Ulrich Thomsen are as well as on the casting list The series represents an additional initiative by DC Studios to broaden its movie empire into high-quality television, continuing after The Penguin , which premiered on HBO the previous year receiving favorable reviews.
