Tom Morello Urges Fans: "Don't Miss a Moment" at Black Sabbath Show
Tom Morello has informed followers to anticipate some "unexpected twists" on the event day. Black Sabbath’s final performance this summer .
Ozzy Osbourne is set to bid farewell as the lead singer of the group known for pioneering heavy metal at an event organized in his birthplace Birmingham .
Several major metal performers, including Metallica To accompany Lamb of God, they will perform at Villa Park on July 5th.
Legendary guitarist Morello most recognized for his involvement with the groups Rage Against the Machine And with Audioslave acting as the concert’s musical director, they have guaranteed that it will be "the most spectacular heavy metal performance ever."
Speaking to The Independent , he mentioned that Ozzy reached out to him. Sharon Osbourne with the concept of serving as the musical director for the occasion.
"When duty beckons, particularly for the grandest metallic spectacle ever witnessed, I am ready to contribute," he stated.
The well-known artist, being an ardent follower of Black Sabbath, mentioned that he had a meeting with the pair where they exchanged and discussed their preferred choices of musicians and groups for the event.
"The North Star’s initial discussion aimed to make this the most legendary day in the history of heavy metal," he stated.
Black Sabbath pioneered this musical style... This event serves as a homage to them. However, what sets it apart from typical tributes is that Black Sabbath will perform towards the conclusion of the evening. It offers an opportunity for musicians across different generations and subgenres within the heavy metal spectrum to honor them by performing their own compositions inspired by Black Sabbath. Additionally, we'll feature 14 to 16 of the finest Black Sabbath cover bands to grace any stage.
When asked about what fans should anticipate, Morello told them they "should arrive early."
“He shared, ‘Several top performers haven’t been unveiled yet,’ adding, ‘Expect some unexpected twists throughout the event.’”
He remarked, "I believe it will evoke strong emotions among Black Sabbath fans present in the venue and those watching globally on that day, as they finally pay homage to the band."
Established in Birmingham in 1968, Black Sabbath are considered among the most impactful and successful metal bands ever, with over 75 million album sales.
In addition to shaping future heavy metal icons, they've also left their mark on prominent musicians spanning pop, rock, hip-hop, and electronic genres.
Ozzy belongs to an exclusive club among musicians. to have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on two occasions, First alongside his Black Sabbath bandmates in 2006, and subsequently as a solo artist last year.
Even though he has faced numerous health problems throughout the years, Ozzy has stayed active even as he entered his seventies. He also joined forces with his fellow Black Sabbath members for their last studio album, titled 13, which was released in 2013.
The final performance will be the first occasion in two decades where the complete initial lineup of the band—Ozzy, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward—all take the stage together again.
"It’s my turn to head back to the beginning....it’s time for me to return to the place where I started and give something back," Osbourne stated in an announcement about the show last month.
