Chocolate Recall: Watch Out for Hidden Pebbles

A delicious dessert might hide an unexpected twist.

Tony’s Chocolonely is initiating a recall for two of its bestselling chocolate bars due to the potential inclusion of small stones that inadvertently entered the production process during almond harvesting and handling.

The company voluntarily recalled these products on Wednesday, April 2. This action impacts seven batches of their 6.35-ounce dark chocolate almond sea salt bars as well as everything bars.

The items were made available across the country both at retail outlets and via the firm's online platform from Friday, February 7th, through Monday, March 24th.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) stated that 12 consumer complaints were filed from individuals outside the United States and Canada regarding stones discovered in the problematic bars. There have been no reports of injuries.

Customers are urged not to consume the recalled chocolates. They should either bring them back to where they were bought for a reimbursement or discard them properly. For comprehensive information regarding the impacted batch numbers and the refund procedure, visit tonyschocolonely.com.

None of Tony's other items are included in the recall.

The firm has its headquarters in New York City.
