Blackhawks Promote 2022 First-Round Pick for Season Finale Showdown

This season, Korchinski has primarily been playing in Rockford; last year marked his debut when he participated in 76 games with the Blackhawks.

Last season, Korchinski scored five goals and contributed 10 assists but also carried an impressive minus-39 plus-minus rating. Recognizing this, the management team decided it was crucial to provide the promising defenseman with better chances for growth. With him now qualifying to compete at the AHL level, everything aligned perfectly for his development.

Korchinski will team up with another youthful defender he frequently played alongside in Rockford. Artyom Levshunov has made an impressive impression since starting his NHL career a few weeks back, and he might have the opportunity to collaborate more closely with Korchinski while wearing a Chicago jersey.
