Ex-Razorback Coach Makes Moves: Joins WNBA Team
LOS ANGELES (KNWA/KFTA) — Mike Neighbors, who previously coached the University of Arkansas’ women’s basketball team, is set to join the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) as a coach for the upcoming season.
On Wednesday, the Los Angeles Sparks will be playing. stated that Neighbors was appointed as an assistant coach.

Neighbors stepped down from his role as head coach on March 11 Following seven seasons with the Razorbacks, the Greenwood native and University of Arkansas graduate recorded a 148-114 record during his tenure there. He guided the Razorbacks to six successful seasons and secured their spot in six post-season games.
Currently, Neighbors has moved on to join the WNBA team of LA Sparks.
Lynne Roberts, the head coach of Sparks, mentioned that the team approached their hiring process with great intentionality. They aimed for a blend of fresh ideas and seasoned expertise within the group.

The Los Angeles Sparks launch its 2025 campaign away from home versus the Golden State Valkyries on May 16.
