Katy Perry, Lauren Sánchez, and Gayle King Set to Blast Off Into Space
Blue Origin, a space firm established by Amazon’s CEO Jeff Bezos, is set to make history as they launch their mission. all-female crew On its upcoming space flight, the U.S.-based spacecraft firm announced that their 11th crewed mission will feature Jeff Bezos’ fiancée and ex-journalist Lauren Sánchez, renowned CBS anchor Gayle King, and popular music icon Katy Perry. Joining them aboard the NS-31 mission will also be NASA engineer Aisha Bowe, biotechnology researcher Amanda Nguyen, and movie producer Kerianne Flynn.
The mission is part of Blue Origin's New Shepard program, which has sent 52 individuals beyond the Kármán line—the globally acknowledged edge of space located approximately 62 miles above Earth. As per the Blue Origin website , the astronauts will rocket towards space at over triple the speed of sound. After crossing this threshold, the crew may release their harnesses and experience weightlessness, prior to heading back to Earth.

The mission, scheduled for some time this spring, will signify the first all-women flight crew since Russian engineer Valentina Tereshkova's solitary journey into space back in 1963.
Blue Origin had previously taken several well-known individuals above the Earth, including an actor. William Shatner Good morning show host from "Good Morning America" and former NFL player Michael Strahan alongside Jeff Bezos themselves.
