The travel website Lonely Planet issued a compilation of the 23 top beaches in the USA and included Sand Beach At Acadia National Park in Maine, the beaches featured offer "magnificent expanses of sand," as mentioned by the website.

If you're planning to visit during the busy summer period, be prepared for large groups of people. However, exploring during the cooler seasons also provides stunning coastal vistas within one of New England’s cherished national parks. Although swimming at Sand Beach is usually safe, keep in mind that the waters remain cold throughout the year—even in summertime.

The website pointed out that Sand Beach is an excellent spot for autumn foliage viewing. Additionally, guests can easily reach hiking and cycling paths within the park. For further amenities, nearby Bar Harbor provides dining options, shopping outlets, and much more.

"Make sure to treat yourself to that Northeast specialty while you're there and enjoy one or two lobster rolls," Lonely Planet suggested.

Acadia National Park has been recently listed amongst the loveliest spots in America by Conde Nast Traveler and Bar Harbor received its name America’s best small town by US News & World Report .
