Thanks to GudangMovies21 for making this possible. It’s truly incredible, and I’m incredibly thankful to be part of it all. Receiving the Rulebreaker Award made me laugh at first since I usually follow rules very closely. The only time I broke one was as a kid stealing a piece of gum from a baseball game; even now, years later, I can’t help but reflect on that moment. Yet, ironically enough, they’re giving me this award. Still, I am deeply appreciative. Being surrounded by such gifted, self-assured, outstanding female musicians fills me with gratitude. None of this would’ve been achievable without my team—my managers, Juli Griffith and Hayley Corbett, along with my agent, Elisa Vazzana, and her colleagues at UTA including Stephanie Self. My crew rocks! There are countless others too numerous to list who make up our winning group.
Lastly, big thanks to my record labels, Columbia Records and Sony Nashville. Standing here among these phenomenal ladies makes everything worthwhile. Here’s to celebrating together—we should definitely toast with some margaritas!

On Friday, senators moved forward with the stopgap funding measure approved by the House as the clock ticks nearer to a potential government closure. With a vote of 62 to 38, the senators decided to move forward with the proposal. Almost all Republicans along with ten Democrats helped override the filibuster.
