UConn Women's Basketball Team Hosts Exciting Send-Off Before Sweet 16ampionship
STORRS, Conn. (WTNH) — The UConn women’s basketball team is advancing to the Sweet 16! They had a farewell event on Wednesday afternoon.
The second-ranked UConn advanced to its 31st successive Sweet 16 round in the NCAA tournament for women’s basketball.
UConn defeated the No. 10 seed South Dakota State with a score of 91-57 on Monday evening. They are scheduled to play against Oklahoma in Spokane, Washington, on Saturday.
The UConn women have secured 11 national championships, and senior Paige Bueckers, expected to be chosen as a top overall pick in the WNBA draft, aims to lead her team to their 12th national championship since 2016.
