Multiple chefs and eateries from Chicago have been shortlisted as finalists for the 2025 James Beard Awards.

The James Beard Foundation is renowned for its esteemed culinary accolades across the nation.

Kumiko in the West Loop has been nominated for an Outstanding Bar award.

Three chefs have been shortlisted for the title of Best Chef Great Lakes. The nominees are Chris Jung and Erling Wu-Bower from Maxwell Street Catering in West Town, Thai Dang at HaiSous located in Pilsen, and Noah Sandoval who helms Oriole in Fulton Market.

The nomination for an outstanding restaurant has been bestowed upon Galit in Lincoln Park.

The honorees will be recognized at the James Beard Restaurant and Chef Awards event on June 16 at the Lyric Opera of Chicago.
